Fresh off the plane from Svalbard and 5 weeks in the field, I stop for a couple days to check out a bit of Scandanavia!

Driving across the Öresund Bridge to Sweden!

The Öresund Bridge is the longest combined road & rail bridge in Europe - boasting a 5 mile bridge section, 2.5 mile underwater tunnel & it's own manmade island!

Less than 5 minutes into Sweden and I've already found an Ikea.

I swear, they're everywhere..

I come across old WWII pillboxes - they're all along the southern Swedish coast.

It's amazing they're still here.. and just in some farmer's field

I stop in the little town of Ystad, along the southern Baltic Sea coast

Driving east of Ystad, I find a military artillery training ground

Near the town of Kåseberge, I come across Ale's Stones, a stone circle from the Nordic Iron Age!

The stones are in the shape of a ship, oriented to mark the seasons

It's a bit of a walk... but there they are in the distance

The path takes me out through a sheep pasture
